The Lab
The lab is a unique intersection where academics and the arts converge. It's a space where scholars who have a passion for art integrate their research into creative projects, spanning disciplines like film, photography, drawing, sculpture, and beyond. We showcase these works to foster community and raise awareness of both artistic and academic endeavors. Additionally, we push boundaries by organizing events that blend art with holistic and cultural practices. Examples include art as a form of protest, the fusion of surfing and art, and exploring creativity within academia, among other innovative approaches.

Our Mission
At Monia, our mission is to foster community through the creative lab we build. We offer a free platform for both emerging and established artists to showcase their work, with a special emphasis on projects linked to academic and social justice pursuits. By engaging with artists from diverse backgrounds, we are dedicated to amplifying their stories and visions. Looking ahead, we plan to evolve The Lab into a dynamic artistic learning platform that integrates media, technology, and art.
