Sapphire Hall

Founder and CEO

Sapphire Hall is an experienced curriculum designer with a robust background in wellness and the arts. She has developed holistic curricula for high school students in both public schools and the prison system, integrating art and wellness practices to enhance learning and prioritize mental health. Sapphire has taught abroad and previously ran a program called Creative Flow, which provided workshops to high schoolers in both creative and non-creative literature skills. During this time, she collaborated with professors from Coastal Carolina and Davidson College. Sapphire is completing her degree in Education and African studies with a minor in Sociology at Bowdoin College. While in college, she served as a Wellness Intern, where she supported students of color during mental health crises and advocated for improved mental health resources at the counseling center. She has received numerous awards in both education and wellness. In her artistic endeavors, Sapphire has worked as a photographer and taught art education, and intends to further merge her artistic and academic passions in her career.


Safia Nelson

Student Intern

Safia Nelson is a prodigious student entering the 11th grade. With a strong interest in STEM, she also boasts an extensive background in ballet and gymnastics, having participated in numerous recitals and competitions. In addition to her academic and artistic pursuits, Safia contributes to Monia by editing websites, writing blog posts, and assisting with social media management.
